EDEPT-EM3 finite-element machine analysis is coming soon

EM3 extends the governed EM1 and EM2 machine definition with tightly integrated two-dimensional finite-element and rotating-machine transient analysis.

EDEPT-EM3 preserves the connected geometry and winding workflow established in EM1 and the analytical comparison methods developed in EM2, while adding nonlinear two-dimensional electromagnetic finite-element analysis.

The current controlled research build resolves conformal meshes, nonlinear magnetic materials, radial and tangential air-gap fields, spatial and temporal harmonics, flux linkage, phase and line back EMF, vector potential, cogging torque and loaded torque by independent methods.

Tri135 benchmark evidence now includes static and rotating-machine transient solutions. Open-circuit flux-linkage and back-EMF fundamentals agree closely with the Motor-CAD benchmark.

EM3 remains a development preview. The evidence shown is not approved for production design, customer release, certification or risk acceptance.

EDDI-FMEA Platform 2026.15.0 is now available

The EDEPT-level, cross-domain FMEA platform is released for governed engineering analysis, controlled change and traceable technical decisions.

EDDI-FMEA Platform belongs at the EDEPT level of the EDDI engineering architecture. It supports multiple engineering domains through a common governed method; EDEPT-EM is the first available domain pack, not the boundary of the platform.

Release 2026.15.0 provides product-structure and failure-network views, controlled functional-author change requests, independent review and revision, Technical Authority approval, approved-change application, governed baselines and an auditable history.

The signed Windows installer is supported by a SHA-256 checksum, production validation report, detailed user manual and FMEA reference manual. A 14-day no-card evaluation is available with no automatic conversion.

Eligible registrations completed by 31 August 2026 receive the founding-customer price of £10 per month for the first 12 paid months. The standard price is £50 per month.

EDEPT-MDT1 technical training is now available

A structured lesson in preliminary EV traction-motor rotor-dynamics screening, presented by Devi Narayanan, EDDI AI Technical Tutor.

The EDEPT-MDT1 2026.1.2 technical-training session connects rotor-dynamics theory to a traceable preliminary-screening workflow.

The lesson covers stepped-shaft and rigid-rotor representation, a seven-node Timoshenko beam model, bearing stiffness and damping, modal and whirl interpretation, Campbell diagrams, synchronous order crossings, convergence, validation and sensitivity studies.

EDEPT-MDT1 supports early design investigation and review. It does not replace detailed finite-element correlation, stress or fatigue assessment, physical validation, or certification.

EDEPT-EDT 2026.1.1 corrective release completed

The current private-subscription release introduces the neutral customer-facing SaturationLossMapDefault baseline and aligned protected packages.

EDEPT-EDT 2026.1.1 is the current controlled electric-drivetrain operating-point simulation release.

The corrective release replaces the internal map filename exposed by 2026.1.0 with the neutral SaturationLossMapDefault name, while retaining the previous controlled artifacts for traceability.

The application-only and offline Windows packages, portal catalogue, checksum evidence and release records are aligned to 2026.1.1.

EDDI technical training connects theory to EDEPT evidence

Public sessions for EDEPT-EM1 and EDEPT-EDT establish the EDDI approach to engineering education and software interpretation.

EDDI technical training is designed to explain the theory, assumptions, workflow and interpretation behind EDEPT results.

The EDEPT-EM1 session follows a first-pass SPMSM definition from geometry and winding synthesis through spatial, temporal and d-q evidence. The EDEPT-EDT session examines the connected electric machine, switching inverter and current controller.

The sessions are presented by Devi Narayanan, EDDI AI Technical Tutor, and remain freely available as permanent learning resources.
