1. Who we are and what you buy
These terms are between you and EDRIVE Design Limited, trading through EDDI, Andover, England, United Kingdom (“EDDI”, “we”, “us”). Contact: enquiries@eddesign.co.uk.
Your purchase is a one-time, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for one named user to access the identified edition of the digital publication. It is not a sale or transfer of copyright or other intellectual-property rights.
2. Price, order and delivery
The checkout page shows the total price and any applicable tax before payment. For EDDI-EDEPT-EM-STD-001 version 2026.7.0, the regular price is £250. An 80% introductory reduction gives a price of £50 for eligible checkout completed by 23:59:59 Europe/London on 30 September 2026.
An order is accepted when payment is verified and we activate the publication entitlement. We deliver the publication through your authenticated EDEPT account as a purchaser-identified protected PDF.
3. Permitted use
You may read the publication for your own professional or personal engineering work, keep a reasonable backup, and quote short extracts with proper attribution where copyright law permits. You must keep your account credentials secure.
4. Prohibited use
You must not share account access; redistribute, resell, lend, publish or upload the publication; remove or obscure watermarks, copy identifiers or technical controls; systematically extract substantial parts; or use the publication to create a competing publication or dataset. Organisation-wide, library, teaching, multi-user and redistribution rights require a separate written licence.
5. Technical and intellectual-property protection
Delivered copies may include your name, account email, order or licence reference, copy identifier and delivery date. We may log entitlement and download activity to administer access, investigate misuse and protect intellectual property. These controls deter abuse but do not guarantee that copying is technically impossible.
6. Engineering use and third-party standards
The publication supports engineering practice but does not replace competent professional judgement, project-specific risk assessment, validation, certification, legal duties or access to referenced ISO, BSI or other third-party standards. You remain responsible for deciding whether information is suitable for your application.
7. Versions and availability
Your licence covers the edition identified at purchase. Later editions are not included unless we say otherwise. We may issue corrections or replacement files. We may suspend access while investigating fraud, security incidents or material breach, and may terminate the licence for a serious or repeated breach after giving reasonable notice where appropriate.
8. Liability and statutory rights
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits a consumer’s mandatory statutory rights. Subject to that, we do not promise that the publication will meet every project requirement or produce a particular engineering or commercial outcome.
9. Cancellation, privacy and law
Our cancellation and refund policy explains immediate digital supply and statutory remedies. Our privacy notice explains personal-data use. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales; consumers retain any mandatory protections and forum rights that apply where they live.
10. Changes
The terms accepted at checkout govern that purchase. We may update terms for future orders, but will not retrospectively reduce rights already granted without a lawful basis.
